The low outgassing and flame retardant 3M Low Static Polyimide Tape 5419 is a good choice for sensitive electronic components. This tape employs a proprietary technology that results in very low electrostatic discharge at unwind and removal. Unlike other conventional polyimide tapes, this film tape does not generate voltage during use and potentially avoids the typical drawbacks of conventional "anti-static" or "static-free" tapes. Made with a sturdy polyimide film and a reliable silicone adhesive, this soldering masking tape offers excellent surface protection, reducing the need for frequent replacements. Whether used as a powder coat masking tape or for other demanding applications, it doesn't soften under elevated temperatures. Available with both cardboard and polyethylene cores, this versatile tape can help enhance productivity and potentially reduces rework. This product is halogen free. Halogen free refers to the International Electrochemical Commission’s Definition, IEC 61249-2-21, which sets the limits of: 900 ppm maximum chlorine; 900 ppm maximum bromine; 1500 ppm maximum total halogens.
